Call it 2008's "The Breakfast Club," documentary and Sundance hit "American Teen" makes its debut this weekend on big screens across the country. Academy Award Nominated Director Nanette Burstein follows around five very different graduating seniors (dubbed The Jock, The Geek, The Rebel, The Princess, and The Heartthrob) in Warsaw, Indiana, and captures the ups and downs of their last year of high school. "American Teen" received the Directing Award for Documentary at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and is in select theaters this Friday, July 25th.

I've heard that netflix will start slowing down the number of movies you get if let's say you pay 14.99 a month for 2 movies at a time and you have a fast turn around so that you see a movie, return it the next day and continuously do this. Get the plan that fits your viewing style. I can see them trying to keep their costs under control. (I'm sure they pay to ship each movie). However, for me who likes the movie once a week or so and likes to watch them when I have the time, it's perfect. I keep them here until I have an eve where I can enjoy them, return them at my convenience when I drive by a post office, and have new movies in a couple of days to watch on the next "movie day" without having to go anywhere. For what I pay monthly, I'm sure I'd have spent some in gas to go back and forth and not having to go out to get a movie is priceless. The instant online viewing service is nice -not a huge collection, but I can find Something to entertain me when I'm bored.
